The truck chassis is riveted using special riveting guns which can be installed on an anthropomorphic robot or suspended on a balancer cancelling the weight. In this way, the operator can move them easily.
Examples of application:
A riveting cell equipped with 4 robots to rivet a chassis. The unit’s productivity is perhaps 1 chassis every 3 minutes. These guns are hydraulic and reach a riveting force of 20 tons.
Truck production line: the chassis is riveted manually by 4 units suspended from pneumatic manipulators running on slides. The guns are operated hydraulically and can reach 30 tons.
